Baker

Kevin Baker (born 1958) is an American novelist, historian, political commentator, and journalist known for his City of Fire trilogy including Dreamland, Paradise Alley, and Strivers Row. He grew up in Rockport, Massachusetts, after being born in Englewood, New Jersey, graduated from Columbia University in 1980, and has contributed to publications like American Heritage, The New York Times, and The Washington Post. A 2017 Guggenheim Fellow, he lives in New York City.
