Baedeker
Frederick William Baedeker (1823–1906) was a German-born evangelist renowned for preaching the gospel to prisoners across Russia, including epic journeys spanning thousands of miles to Siberian penal settlements. Initially a philosopher and traveler who converted to Christianity at age 43 in 1866, he dedicated decades to ministry in Europe and Russia after studying Scripture for ten years. Commissioned by George Müller, he ministered to aristocrats and inmates alike until his death.[1][2][4]
