Ayo Salawu

Ayo Salawu is a British-Nigerian drummer born in Bermuda who first tapped out a drum beat at the age of two and began formal drumming at age three after moving to Nigeria.[1][5] He graduated from the Academy of Contemporary Music and has become a sought-after freelance musician, performing with artists such as pop-jazz singer Julia Biel, afrobeat band Kokoroko, and soul-jazz-hip hop artist Oscar Jerome.[1][2] His styles include funk, soul, gospel, R&B, fusion, hip-hop, and rock.[4]
