Ayn Rand
Ayn Rand, born Alisa Zinovyevna Rosenbaum, was a Russian-American writer and philosopher who developed Objectivism, advocating rational self-interest and individualism. She achieved fame with her novels The Fountainhead (1943) and the bestselling Atlas Shrugged (1957), which embody her philosophical ideas. After immigrating to the US in 1926, she shifted to non-fiction to promote her views until her death in 1982.
