Ayaan Hirsi Ali
Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a Somali-born Dutch and American writer, activist, and former politician known for her criticism of Islam and advocacy for women's rights against practices like forced marriage, honor killings, and female genital mutilation.[1][2] Born in Mogadishu, she fled to the Netherlands in 1992 to escape an arranged marriage, served in the Dutch Parliament from 2003 to 2006, and founded the AHA Foundation in 2007 to protect women from harmful traditions.[3][4] She is the author of bestsellers including Infidel (2007) and Heretic (2015).[1][3]
