Audrey Thomas

Audrey Grace Thomas (née Callahan) is a Canadian novelist and short story writer born in Binghamton, New York, on November 17, 1935, who immigrated to Canada in 1959 after marrying Ian Thomas and earning an MA from UBC. Her works, including her debut collection Ten Green Bottles (1967) and novel Mrs. Blood (1970), often explore feminist themes, gender politics, identity, language, and experiences from her time in Ghana. She has published over 18 books of fiction, received awards like the Marian Engel Award, and resides on Galiano Island, British Columbia.
