Association for Computing Machinery
The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is not an author but an international learned society and non-profit professional membership group for computing, founded on September 15, 1947, and headquartered in New York City[1][2]. It is the world's largest educational and scientific society in computing, with nearly 110,000 student and professional members as of 2024[1][2]. ACM serves as an umbrella organization for academic and scholarly interests in computer science and informatics, with the motto 'Advancing Computing as a Science & Profession'[1][3].
