Assaf Gavron
Assaf Gavron is an acclaimed Israeli author born in 1968 in Arad to English immigrants, who grew up near Jerusalem and studied in London and Vancouver before becoming known for his satirical novels and short stories. He has published seven novels including The Hilltop, a collection of short stories Sex in the Cemetery, and non-fiction like Eating Standing Up, with his works translated into 16 languages. Gavron translates major English authors into Hebrew, writes for Peacemaker, and performs as singer-songwriter with band The Mouth and Foot.
