ASHRAE (the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) is not an individual author, but a professional engineering society founded in 1894 and formally formed in 1959 through the merger of earlier HVAC-related organizations. It advances heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and indoor environmental quality through standards, research, publications, and technical resources.
