Ashley Spires

Ashley Spires is a Canadian children's book author and illustrator best known for creating the Binky the Space Cat graphic novel series and the 2014 bestseller The Most Magnificent Thing.[1][2] Born and raised in Tsawwassen, British Columbia, she studied at Emily Carr University of Art and Design and Sheridan College before working in publishing and producing award-winning books now adapted into animated series.[2][3] She lives just outside Vancouver with her dog and many cats, enjoying tea, candy, yoga, and fostering felines.[3][4]
