Ashley Brown

Ashley Brown is a historian and associate professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she holds the Allan H. Selig Chair in the History of Sport and Society. Her research and teaching focus on twentieth- and twenty-first-century U.S. history, especially sport, African American history, and women’s history. She is the author of *Serving Herself: The Life and Times of Althea Gibson*.
