Aryeh Grabois

Aryeh Grabois was born in 1930 in Odessa and immigrated to Israel in 1948, where he served in the IDF before studying at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He became a distinguished Israeli medievalist, specializing in medieval pilgrimages to the Holy Land, as evidenced by his book summarizing twenty years of research on the topic. A collection of essays was presented to him on his sixty-fifth birthday in recognition of his contributions to Crusader period studies.
