Arunika N. Gunawardena

Arunika Gunawardena is a Professor of Biology at Dalhousie University who joined the department in September 2006 after winning a prestigious University Faculty Award from NSERC. Her research program focuses on understanding the role of programmed cell death (PCD) in plant development, a field she has studied since 1996 across multiple biological systems. She serves as an Associate Editor for the journal Botany.
