Arthur Garson
Arthur 'Tim' Garson Jr., M.D., M.P.H., is a prominent pediatric cardiologist specializing in arrhythmias in children and young adults, and currently serves as director of the Texas Medical Center Health Policy Institute and a professor at the University of Texas School of Public Health and University of Houston College of Medicine.[1][2][4] He previously held positions as executive vice president and provost at the University of Virginia, vice president and dean of its School of Medicine, and president of the American College of Cardiology, and is a member of the National Academy of Medicine.[2] Garson earned his bachelor's from Princeton University, medical degree from Duke University, and MPH from the University of Texas, and created the Grand-Aides program in 2010 to reduce hospital readmissions.[2][4]
