Arthur Christopher Benson

Arthur Christopher Benson (1862–1925) was an English essayist, poet, and academic who served as the 28th Master of Magdalene College, Cambridge. He is best known for writing the lyrics to Edward Elgar’s "Land of Hope and Glory" and for his reflective essays and memoirs.
