Arthur Barlow

Arthur Barlowe (1550–1620) was a British explorer and captain who, under Sir Walter Raleigh's direction, led the 1584 expedition to North America to claim land for Queen Elizabeth I. His detailed report on the voyage is one of the earliest English commercial accounts based on direct observation of North America and offers a vivid description of European contact with Native peoples.
