Arnold Beckmann

Arnold Orville Beckman was an American chemist, inventor, entrepreneur, and philanthropist best known for founding National Technical Laboratories, later Beckman Instruments, in 1935. His company was built on his invention of the pH meter, and he later played major roles in science, business, civic leadership, and philanthropy.
