Arnold Bax
Sir Arnold Edward Trevor Bax was a prominent English composer and poet known for his neoromantic orchestral music that blended romanticism with Celtic and Irish influences. Born in London in 1883 to wealthy parents, he never had to earn a living, which allowed him to focus entirely on his prolific musical output, including symphonies, symphonic poems, and chamber works. He died in Cork, Ireland, in 1953, and is remembered as one of the leading British symphonists of the early 20th century.
