Archibald Lawrie

Sir Archibald Campbell Lawrie (1837–1914) was a Scottish scholar and historian born in Glasgow, son of Dr. James Adair Lawrie, professor of surgery at Glasgow University. He studied at Glasgow University, graduating BA in 1856 and receiving an honorary LLD in 1905, and is known for his work on charter collections and historical research in Scotland and Ceylon.
