Archbishop Dermot Farell

Dermot Pius Farrell (born 22 November 1954) is an Irish Roman Catholic prelate who has served as Archbishop of Dublin since 2021, having previously been Bishop of Ossory from 2018 to 2021. Born in Castletown-Geoghegan, County Westmeath, he was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Meath in 1980 and later served as president of St Patrick's College, Maynooth. Appointed Archbishop of Dublin by Pope Francis in December 2020, he was installed in February 2021.
