Antony Smith
Anthony Smith (1926–2014) was an English explorer, author, balloonist, and television presenter best known for his bestselling book The Body (later The Human Body), which sold over 800,000 copies and inspired a BBC series. He undertook daring adventures including sailing across the Atlantic on a raft in his eighties aboard the Antiki, ballooning across Africa and the Alps, and discovering a new fish species in Iran. A former science editor for the Daily Telegraph and Tomorrow's World presenter, he wrote over two dozen books on science, travel, and adventure.
