Antonio Costa Pinto
António Costa Pinto is a Portuguese historian and political scientist born in Lisbon in 1953, specializing in authoritarianism, fascism, political elites, democratization, and transitional justice in new democracies. He earned his Ph.D. from the European University Institute in Florence in 1992 and has held positions as a research professor at the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Lisbon, and professor of politics and contemporary European history at ISCTE and currently at Universidade Lusófona. He has been a visiting professor at institutions including Stanford, Princeton, and UC Berkeley, and served as president of the Portuguese Political Science Association from 2006 to 2010.[1][2][3]
