Annie Besant

Annie Besant was a British social reformer, writer, orator, and prominent activist for women's rights, secularism, and Indian self-rule. She later became a major leader in the Theosophical Society and a supporter of Indian nationalism, serving as the first female president of the Indian National Congress in 1917.
