Anne Rivers Siddons
Anne Rivers Siddons (born Sybil Anne Rivers) was an American novelist renowned for her stories set in the Southern United States, particularly Atlanta and Georgia. She began her career as a writer and editor at Atlanta magazine, drawing from her experiences during the civil rights era, and published her debut novel Heartbreak Hotel in 1976, which was later adapted into the film Heart of Dixie. Siddons authored 19 novels and nonfiction works, earning praise for redefining Southern womanhood and capturing social changes in the modern South.[1][2][3]
