Anne L. Petersen

Anna L. Peterson (born 1963) is an American scholar of religious studies and professor in the Department of Religion at the University of Florida, where she has taught since 1993. She earned her PhD from the University of Chicago Divinity School and her AB from the University of California at Berkeley, with research focusing on religion and social change in Latin America, environmental ethics, social ethics, and animal studies. She has authored or co-authored seven monographs, including Being Human (2001), Being Animal (2013), and Works Righteousness (2020).[1][2]
