Anne Edwards
Anne Edwards (1927–2024) was an acclaimed American biographer known as the 'Queen of Biography' for her works on celebrities like Judy Garland, Vivien Leigh, Katharine Hepburn, Maria Callas, and royalty including Queen Mary, Princess Diana, and Countess Sonya Tolstoy.[1][2] She began her career as a child performer and MGM junior writer, sold her first screenplay at 22, published her debut novel in 1968, and her first biography in 1975, with several becoming bestsellers and one nominated for a Pulitzer.[1][2][3] Edwards also wrote novels, memoirs, children's books, and served as Authors Guild president from 1981 to 1985.[2][6]
