Ann Rule
Ann Rule (née Stackhouse) was an American true crime author best known for her book The Stranger Beside Me (1980), detailing her friendship with serial killer Ted Bundy. Raised in a law enforcement family, she worked briefly with the Seattle Police Department, wrote under the pseudonym Andy Stack, and authored over 30 true crime books focusing on Pacific Northwest cases.[1][2][3]
