Ann Ingalls
Ann Ingalls was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and worked as an elementary and special education teacher in Michigan and Missouri before becoming a full-time author.[1][6] She has authored over 60 books for young readers, including picture books, poetry, and historical fiction, with notable works like 'The Little Piano Girl,' a finalist for the Crystal Kite Award, and 'Pencil: A Story with a Point!,' which made the Banks Street Best Books list of 2020.[1][3] Her books have been published by Houghton Mifflin, Penguin, Scholastic, and others, and she enjoys travel, cooking, yoga, and storytelling.[2][4]
