Ann Cooper Albright

Ann Cooper Albright is a distinguished dancer, scholar, and Professor and Chair of the Department of Dance at Oberlin College. A 2019-2020 John Simon Guggenheim Fellow, she has pioneered research in dance studies through six monographs and four edited collections, earning the Dance Studies Association's 2025 Outstanding Scholarly Research in Dance Award. Her work centers embodiment, dance history, and cultural theory, bridging academic rigor with embodied practice.
