Anita Yasuda
Anita Yasuda is a Canadian author of South Asian descent who has written more than 100 books for children, including notable titles like *Up, Up, Ever Up! Junko Tabei: A Life in the Mountains*, *Diwali: A Festival of Joy*, and *Bollywood Beat*. A University of Toronto graduate with a B.A. (hons.) and trained Montessori primary teacher, she has won awards such as the 2013 Honor Book award from the Society of School Librarians International for *Explore Flight!* and the 2012 gold Moonbeam award for *Explore The Wild West!*. She lives in the rolling hills of Ontario with her family.
