Angèle Delaunois, born in Granville, France, on November 17, 1946, emigrated to Quebec in 1968 and became a Canadian citizen in 1976. After careers in teaching, plastic arts, and publishing, she dedicated herself to full-time writing in 1989, authoring over 100 children's books, founding Éditions de l'Isatis in 2004, and earning awards like the 1998 Governor General's Award.
