Andrew Steinmetz

Andrew Steinmetz was born in Montreal in 1965 and is a Canadian author known for his work in fiction, narrative non-fiction, memoir, poetry, and songs. He has published a memoir titled Wardlife: The Apprenticeship of a Young Writer as a Hospital Clerk, poetry collections including Histories, and the novel Eva's Threepenny Theatre. A finalist for prizes like the Hilary Weston Writers' Trust Prize for Nonfiction and winner of the 2009 City of Ottawa Book Award, he holds advanced degrees in library sciences and English literature, and serves as editor of Esplanade Books at Véhicule Press.[1][3][5]
