Andrew Spencer

Andrew Spencer (Ph.D., Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary) serves as associate editor for books at The Gospel Coalition. Born and raised in rural Western New York, he is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a degree in English and has professional experience in nuclear engineering and higher education administration. He is the author of Hope for God's Creation: Stewardship in an Age of Futility and Doctrine in Shades of Green: Theological Perspective for Environmental Ethics, among other works focused on Christian theology and environmental ethics.
