Andrew Price-Smith

Andrew Price-Smith (1968–2019) was a prominent political scientist and academic writer known for his pioneering work on health security and environmental security. He was an expert on the effects of influenza pandemics and authored influential books such as 'The Health of Nations' and 'Contagion and Chaos,' which shaped the field of global health security. The International Studies Association renamed its Global Health Security Book Award in his honor to recognize his legacy of engaged scholarship.
