Andrew H. Knoll
Andrew H. Knoll is an American paleontologist and paleobotanist who serves as the Fisher Professor of Natural History at Harvard University, where his research focuses on the early evolution of life and Earth's environmental history. Born in 1951 in West Reading, Pennsylvania, he earned his Ph.D. from Harvard in 1977 and has made significant contributions to understanding Precambrian biogeochemistry and the emergence of complex organisms. He is a member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and has served on NASA's Mars Exploration Rover science team.
