Andrew Combe
Andrew Combe was a Scottish physician and physiologist born in Edinburgh who became a prominent figure in phrenology, the study of the relationship between mental characteristics and the shape of the skull. He completed his medical studies in Paris and later practiced in Edinburgh, where he investigated phrenology on anatomical principles. Combe died on August 9, 1847, near Edinburgh, and his biography was written by his brother George Combe and published in 1850.
