Andra Gillespie
Andra Gillespie is an Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of the James Weldon Johnson Institute for the Study of Race and Difference at Emory University. She earned her B.A. from the University of Virginia and her Ph.D. in Political Science from Yale University in 2005. Her research focuses on African American politics, particularly the post-Civil Rights generation of leadership, and she has authored and edited several books including 'The New Black Politician: Cory Booker, Newark and Post-Racial America' and 'Whose Black Politics: Cases in Post-Racial Black Leadership.'
