American College Testing Program

The 'American College Testing Program' is not an author but the original name of the standardized test now known as the ACT, created in 1959 by educators E.F. Lindquist and Ted McCarrel to serve as an alternative to the SAT for college admissions in the United States. The program was administered by ACT, Inc., a for-profit organization that continues to develop and manage the test today. It is not a person, so it has no birth date, death date, birth place, or literary genres.
