Ameen Rihani ,
Ameen Rihani (1876–1940) was a Lebanese-American writer, intellectual, and political activist recognized as the founding father of Arab-American literature and a major figure in the Mahjar literary movement. He was the first Arab to publish complete literary works in both Arabic and English in the United States, notably authoring The Book of Khalid, the first Arab-American novel in English. Rihani also became an early theorist of Arab nationalism and an American citizen in 1901.
