Amanda F. Morgan ,
Amanda F. Morgan is a dancer, choreographer, mentor, and activist from Tacoma, Washington, who joined Pacific Northwest Ballet as an apprentice in 2016, was promoted to corps de ballet in 2017, and became the first Black woman soloist in the company's 50-year history in 2022. She founded The Seattle Project collective in 2019 to support interdisciplinary artists, particularly BIPOC and LGBTQ+ creators, and has choreographed works for PNB's Next Step Program and other festivals. Recognized as '25 to Watch' by Dance Magazine in 2021, she continues to break barriers in ballet while mentoring through PNB School's program.[1][6]
