Alyssa Satin Capucilli
Alyssa Satin Capucilli, born November 2, 1957, in Brooklyn, New York, is an American author of over 150 children's books, best known for the Biscuit series featuring a playful yellow puppy, which has sold more than 54 million copies worldwide.[1][3] Initially a professional dancer and choreographer, she transitioned to writing in the early 1990s after earning a BA in Early Childhood Education and Literature from Sarah Lawrence College, where she also taught writing.[2][3] Her works include lift-the-flap books for toddlers and beginning readers, earning awards like the Washington Irving Award and Bank Street College Best Book Award.[2][3]
