Allison Hobbs is a national bestselling author of over thirty provocative novels, including her debut Pandora's Box in 2003 and Stealing Candy, which addresses teenage sex trafficking. A former singer with the Philly Sound group Brown Sugar, she toured with artists like Major Harris and Marvin Gaye, later signing with Capitol Records. She resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, holds a Bachelor of Science from Temple University, and is also a self-taught folk artist portraying black Americana scenes.
