Allan Stratton

Allan Stratton is a Canadian playwright and novelist born in Stratford, Ontario, in 1951, who began his professional arts career in high school with his play 'The Rusting Heart' published by James Reaney and broadcast on CBC Radio. He gained international acclaim as a novelist with 'Chanda's Secrets' (2004), a Michael L. Printz Honor Book, after successful plays like 'Nurse Jane Goes to Hawaii.' Raised by a single mother, he has lived in various places including Toronto and writes in genres including young adult fiction, horror, and fantasy.
