Alice Greene
Alice Green (1939 or 1940 – August 20, 2024) was an American activist, prison reform advocate, and author based in Albany, New York. She founded the Center for Law and Justice in 1985 and was a prominent civil rights champion who authored multiple books on criminal justice and social history, including memoirs about her experiences growing up Black in the Adirondacks.
