Ali Askerov
Dr. Ali Askerov is an Associate Professor and Co-Chair of the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.[1][5] He earned a PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Manitoba in 2011, an MS in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University in 2006, an MS in International Relations from Baku State University in 2001, and a BS in International Relations from Middle East Technical University in 1998.[2] His research and publications focus on ethnic conflict, terrorism, mediation, peace education, conflict transformation, refugee issues, and structural violence, including books such as Contemporary Relations Between Turkey and Russia: From Crisis to Cooperation (2018) and Transformative Change: An Introduction to Peace and Conflict Studies (2015).[1][5]
