Alfred Marshall

Alfred Marshall was an English economist and one of the most influential figures in the development of modern microeconomics. His 1890 book *Principles of Economics* helped formalize supply and demand analysis, marginal utility, and production costs, and he is often regarded as a founder of neoclassical economics.
