Alfred E Kahn

Alfred E. Kahn was an American economist and regulatory scholar, best known for his role in deregulating the U.S. airline industry as chairman of the Civil Aeronautics Board under President Jimmy Carter. He wrote extensively on economics and public policy, including the influential book 'The Economics of Regulation.' Kahn was a professor at Cornell University for many years and is often called the 'father of airline deregulation.'
