Alfred Cobban

Alfred Cobban (1901–1968) was an English historian and Professor of French History at University College, London, known for his revisionist critiques of Marxist analyses of the French Revolution. He authored several influential works on modern French history, including 'The Social Interpretation of the French Revolution' and 'A History of Modern France', advocating a classical liberal perspective alongside François Furet.
