Alexandre Dumas

Alexandre Dumas, père (1802-1870) was a prolific French author renowned for his historical adventure novels such as The Three Musketeers and The Count of Monte Cristo, as well as successful plays.[1][2][3] Born in Villers-Cotterêts to a Haitian general father, he rose to literary fame in Paris during the Romantic era, later facing political exile but continuing to write extensively.[3][5] His works, blending drama, history, and adventure, have been translated into over 100 languages and adapted into numerous films.[2]
