Alexander Von Gleichen-Russwurm

Alexander von Gleichen-Rußwurm (1865–1947) was a German writer, editor, translator, and cultural philosopher, the great-grandson of Friedrich Schiller. He authored major works like 'Die Geschichte der europäischen Geselligkeit' (6 volumes, 1909–1921) and 'Sieg der Freude' (1909), focusing on cultural history, sociability, and Schiller's legacy, while also producing dramas, poems, novellas, and essays. After serving as a military officer, he lived at Greifenstein Castle, faced property expropriation in 1938, and died in Baden-Baden.[1][2][3]
